  • Research shows doulas can help improve birth experiences by providing continuous support, reducing stress, improving communication with providers, and helping families feel more informed and empowered throughout labor and postpartum recovery.

  • Placenta encapsulation is the process of preparing the placenta into capsules after birth. Many mothers choose placenta encapsulation as part of their postpartum recovery plan to support energy, mood, milk supply, iron levels, and overall wellness after childbirth.

  • Star Keepers follows food safety and handling certifications, including ServSafe and bloodborne pathogen training, to ensure placenta products are prepared with care and safety standards in mind.

  • It’s recommended to book early in pregnancy to ensure availability, especially if you are due during busy birth seasons. However, Star Keepers may still have availability later in pregnancy- it never hurts to ask!

Consultations are set up via video chat or phone call. Consultations typically last an hour.

  • No. A doula does not replace your doctor, midwife, or medical team. A doula works alongside your providers to offer emotional support, education, comfort measures, and advocacy during pregnancy and birth.

  • Star Keepers supports freebirthing mothers full heartedly! None the less a birth keeper is NOT a medical provider. A birthkeeper is a spiritual and emotional support person during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.

  • Absolutely. A doula supports both parents during labor! This is your family, baby, and bonding experience. We are simply here as supportive guides for both.
